Sweet paprika can be used where a spicy, peppery flavour is required without the heat of chilli 

This unsmoked sweet paprika has a bitter-sweet flavour and mild heat. It is used to give a spiciness to dishes without too much heat. Use a good teaspoonful of this paprika in goulash or casserole dishes; also delicious when sprinkled on potatoes in any form.
