As a coeliac I avoid oats and gluten free oats (you can’t be sure you’ll be affected by the avenin protein that mimics gluten). This Alara alternative is very good. I cook this with a non-dairy milk, sweetened to taste, add in cacao and chia powder and it absorbs really well. Texture is not bad at all. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup, blueberries, raspberries or banana, or a selection of seeds like sunflower, pumpkin and flax to add crunch. A very healthy breakfast treat.
